In support of Action for Children, a group of Keystone lawyers took part in a bike ride on 21–22 May.
In the name of fundraising, Sixteen Padded Panters, otherwise known as The Keywheelers, underwent a 140-mile journey from Keystone’s Bristol office at One Temple Quay to the firm’s London headquarters opposite Buckingham Palace. With an original target of £1,500 for one of the firm’s favourite charities, Action for Children, the group managed to cycle their way to raising an impressive £6,000 in total.
The money raised will help to support homeless children, particularly those forced to leave the local authority care system at sixteen with nowhere to go, or those who run away from abusive families. They end up on the streets where they are exploited, with some turning to drugs to forget and prostitution to pay for their habit.
Action for Children aims to protect and care for these children, giving them the support that they need to get their lives back on track.
