Keystone Law is pleased to announce that leading environmental lawyer Helen Loose is returning to the firm’s thriving team. She re-joins from Bird & Bird, where she was Head of the firm’s Environmental and Health & Safety (EHS) practice.

Helen first worked at Keystone between 2009 and 2011, before which she was a partner at Ashurst and headed up the firm’s EHS practice. Helen has over 20 years’ experience advising clients on how to quantify and mitigate environmental exposure. Her expertise includes offering transactional support in corporate mergers and acquisitions and real estate deals, financing transactions to regulatory and advisory work as well as litigation support on the wide number of liabilities and regulatory requirements within EHS law.

Managing Partner, James Knight, said:“We are thrilled that Helen has returned to Keystone following a stretch as Senior Consultant at international heavyweight Bird & Bird. Helen is our 16th ex-Head of Department to join from a top firm and we continue to be overwhelmed with applications from highly experienced partners from major law firms who are looking for a change from the partnership model. Keystone provides the alternative: an innovative, business-minded law firm which allows senior lawyers to continue their practice with greater autonomy, flexibility and financial reward. ”

Commenting on her appointment, Helen said:“I’m delighted to be returning to the firm which has witnessed extraordinary growth in the last two years, both in terms of size and profile. It’s only when you go back to the traditional model that you realise how entrepreneurial and flexible the Keystone structure and way of working is let alone the benefits for clients in addition to lawyers.”
