Keystone Law is pleased to announce that leading construction lawyer Mark Lawton has joined the firm’s burgeoning Construction Team.

Mark joins from Watson Burton where he was a Partner and the Head of Construction Dispute Resolution. He specialises exclusively in all forms of modern-day construction dispute resolution, acting for contractors, developers, house builders and consultants. Mark advises on all issues arising out of construction and development operations and projects. His expertise enables him to provide tactical advice at an early stage in live projects and ensures clients maximise their commercial and legal position by managing risk effectively.

Mark’s appointment follows on from the success of Keystone Law’s “Join the Future” campaign which led to the recruitment of 43 partner-level solicitors, representing an impressive 48% increase in head count. The success of the campaign reflects the shift among the legal profession from the traditional law firm model to the Keystone model, which uses technology and modern business practices to improve service delivery and value.

Commenting on the announcement James Knight, Managing Partner of Keystone Law, said:

“Keystone welcomes lawyers who want a more entrepreneurial and flexible approach to their careers and more meaningful relationships with their clients. Mark’s expertise across all areas of construction dispute resolution and his work in the property development sector make him a brilliant fit for our firm. We are experiencing increased demand from clients in the property industry and are able to offer them a broad range of contentious and non-contentious advice across our specialist teams. We are therefore delighted to welcome Mark to the firm and look forward to continuing to strengthen our offering in key growth areas.”
