Keystone has, today, announced the hire of City-trained Louise Maidment, to join the firm’s Private Client team.

For over a decade, Louise has advised on a variety of contentious trust and probate matters, including Inheritance Act claims and trust litigation. In addition, her extensive commercial expertise means that she is often called upon to deal with professional negligence issues.

Louise’s client base is made up of trustees, executors and beneficiaries and she deals with claims involving other beneficiaries, surviving spouses and cohabitees, adult and minor children, and other dependants. Louise also has a background in high-value commercial disputes and is able to advise commercial and private clients on a wide range of contractual disputes.

A member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS), Louise joined the firm from Salisbury-based Wilsons Solicitors LLP, and was previously with international commercial firm Nabarro.

James Knight, Managing Director of Keystone Law, said:

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Louise, whose arrival will strengthen the firm’s wills and probate capabilities while enhancing the Private Client team. Her expertise makes her perfectly placed to advise clients, across a range of issues.”

Louise added:

“I am thrilled to have joined Keystone Law. It is such a forward-thinking firm offering great opportunities to lawyers like me in a different, and most importantly, better way. I am very much looking forward to the challenge of building on my contentious trust and probate practice at Keystone.”
