Dual qualified in the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe, Ian is a commercial litigator and international commercial arbitration specialist.

With particular expertise in the oil and gas, renewables, mining and infrastructure fields – he is also experienced in international trade, maritime and shipping, commodities, construction and real estate development, shareholder disputes, finance, hospitality, media, trusts, insurance, and pharmaceuticals.

Ian’s client base is truly global, spanning the UK, the Americas and Europe as well as Africa, having established a strong network of clients and contacts in all of those regions.

He has been involved in a significant number of often complex, high value international commercial arbitrations as counsel and accepts arbitral appointments.He also has extensive experience of litigation in support of arbitration before state courts, including jurisdictional challenges, applications for conservatory and provisional measures, injunctive relief, challenges to arbitral awards and matters relating to enforcement.

Prior to joining Keystone, Ian spent several years at leading global firm Dentons in its international arbitration practice group.
