Andrew Stilton releases 5th edition of unique book on sale of shares and businesses

Established corporate lawyer, Andrew Stilton has announced the publication of the 5th edition of his book, Sale of Shares and Businesses - a comprehensive guide to the acquisition of companies and businesses in the UK.

First published by Sweet & Maxwell in 2006, this stand-alone work provides invaluable insight into the complex world of mergers and acquisitions, drawing on Andrew’s experience from a career spanning almost four decades.

The work provides comment and an in-depth explanation of the main issues which arise on M&A transactions, however they are structured, along with helpful precedents in both paper and electronic formats.

The latest edition takes account of recent case law, statutory/regulatory changes and recent developments and, in particular, includes a chapter on the impact of GDPR on corporate transactions. It also includes:

The book, now available to purchase, looks set to follow in the footsteps of its highly-regarded previous editions which have received fantastic feedback across a range of jurisdictions.

Andrew commented:

“I am delighted to announce the fifth edition, which includes expert commentary from other Keystone lawyers in relation to issues such as property, planning, environmental law, employment, pensions, competition law and tax. I would particularly like to thank my colleagues, Rachel Tozer and Carolyn Bertin, who have helped to put together a practical guide to the impact of GDPR on future transactions.”
